Fair and good quality CC Pool System – European Monitoring Team 

The strength of the CC Pool System is that the standard CC Container items are exchangeable between customers and users in Europe. Therefore, it is important for all users of the CC Pool that we all together maintain the high standard of quality and fairness in the CC Pool.  

European Monitoring Team 

Container Centralen is using a European Monitoring Team to protect the CC Pool interests; ensuring a fair pool fee price for CC customers, protection of CC Intellectual Property and to maintain the standard in quality by combating fake material in the CC Pool. The European Monitoring Team consists of several external audit teams, investigation experts, local police/tax authorities and bailiffs/attorneys.  

More than thirty cases 

For the last few years, the work performed by the European Monitoring Team resulted in more than thirty cases in which Container Centralen has been successful in protecting the CC Pool by confiscation and destruction of fake material (see picture), stopping illegal re-rent, securing under contract extra items in use, which were not under contract, filing police reports, winning court cases, invoicing etc.  This has resulted in adding substantially more contracted material to the CC Pool. 

External audit teams 

The external audit teams conduct unannounced customer visits in all countries, they validate if the number of CC items in use corresponds to the number under contract. If there is more material in use, then it needs to be contracted immediately, which includes additional invoicing, or the extra items will be confiscated.  

Copies and lookalikes  

Our European Monitoring Team will continue to expand their work. In 2025 special attention will be allocated to spotting CC TAG copies and lookalikes, leading to the owners, (re-) sellers and producers to stop polluting and infringing the CC Pool System. We must do this to protect both customers and CC’s interests and to keep the CC Pool System fair and sustainable.
