CC strengthens management team with new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer   

Container Centralen (CC) is pleased to announce two senior management appointments that support the company’s strategic focus on expanding its services in reusable transport items (RTIs) for the horticulture supply chain.  Nanne van der Burg has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 March 2026, and Gertjan Hakkers will join as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective 1 April 2026.  Gertjan will succeed Barto Cleton, who will step back on his CC responsibilities at the end of March 2026 while continuing his professional journey in external advisory roles.  

With these appointments, CC’s Management Team will expand from three to four members, strengthening the company’s ability to scale its services, enhance customer support, and drive growth across Europe.   

Experienced leaders joining at a strategic moment   

Nanne van der Burg joins CC with broad operational experience in leadership positions in logistics, supply chain, and asset management more recently in the horticulture sector. He has a strong background in operational excellence, process optimization, and managing large-scale distributed operations. As COO, he will oversee CC’s operational responsibilities and enhance the reliability and quality of CC’s European asset pool.  

Gertjan Hakkers brings extensive international commercial experience, having led sales and commercial teams across EMEA, the UK, and the United States. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Commercial Director in an international organization active in the horticultural, solar, and extrusion sectors. As CCO, he will focus on strengthening commercial execution, deepening customer relationships, and supporting CC’s ambitions for growth.

The expansion of CC’s Management Team reflects the company’s ambition to further professionalize the organization and prepare for the next phase of growth in the horticultural RTI market.
